Step1: Opportunity Identification

First step to idea generation is to identify an opportunity. In this stage we work with you to find out that opportunity that you want to aim for. Many companies become successful very quickly using the opportunities. The first to identify that opportunity wins the game.

Privacy is also important in identifying opportunities because you don’t want others to know what are your plans. We keep all of your ideas confidential.

Step2: Project Scope

Once we identified an opportunity that might work we prepare the scope of your project. In scope we include:

  • Overall description of the work (What is the project?)
  • Deliverables (What will be produced?)
  • Justification (Why we should undertake this project?)
  • Constraints (Risks?)
  • Assumptions (What did we assume and how they impact the project?)
  • Inclusions/Exclusions (What did we include or exclude from this project?)

Step3: Design Brief

Third step is to draft the design brief. Here we work on the following points:

  • Design brief should be specific, to the point.
  • It should have measurement criteria whether it may be qualitative or quantitative.
  • It should be achievable, it should not be out of our abilities.
  • It should be relevant. There shouldn’t be any processes which are not related to achieving the goal.
  • Design brief should have a time boundary which may advise us limit.

Once the design brief is prepared we can start making plans.

Step4: Brain Storming

In this process we aim to generate the idea. Making plans to achieve the goal we decided in the scope, we prepare a brainstorming session to answer the questions below:

  • What is? (Work group frames the challenge, explores needs and wishes of customer and determines themes and insights)
  • What if? (Group identifies elements of a good solution, brainstorms ideas and combines ideas into concepts)
  • What wows? (Group identifies assumptions about each concept, tests those assumptions with customers using prototypes and combines them into a single concept)
  • What works? (Work group determines assumptions to test the concept identified, learns from customers about what works, what doesn’t and make adjustments and decide if we will go ahead with this solution or not?)
